The Westpac Business Corporation was formed in 1982 as a merger of the Bank of New South Wales and the Commercial Bank of Australia. The red stylised 'w' has become one of Australia's most recognisable brands. This long-standing iteration of the logo included the word 'estpac' next to it while it was a new entity in the banking world up until the 2010s.
