WHBQ-TV originally signed on the air on September 27, 1953 as a secondary ABC affiliate and until WREC-TV signed on in 1956, a primary CBS affiliate. It was first owned by Harding College of Searcy, Arkansas, along with WHBQ radio (560 AM and 105.9 FM, now WGKX). General Teleradio (later RKO General), the broadcasting arm of the General Tire and Rubber Company, purchased the WHBQ stations in March 1954.

This logo is similar to the one used by then-fellow ABC affiliate KOVR in Stockton-Sacramento-Modesto, California. RKO General sold the WHBQ stations to Adams Communications in 1990 and sold off the AM radio station. By 1994, Adams was in financial difficulties and opted to sell channel 13 to the Communications Corporation of America on August 17 of that year. This logo was also used on WHBQ-TV's 70th Anniversary.

On December 1, 1995, WHBQ-TV disaffiliated from ABC and converted into a Fox owned-and-operated station, after Fox Television Stations acquired the station from Communications Corporation of America on July 5 of that year. Channel 13 swapped affiliations with former Fox affiliate WPTY-TV (channel 24) now WATN-TV.

WHBQ-TV (2006)

This logo branding, currently in use by most of the Fox O&Os, is based on the Fox News logo. The "13" is similar to that of former sister station WTVT in Tampa–St. Petersburg. This Logo Debuted in February 2006.

2015–present[]

WHBQ (2015)

WHBQ, alongside WFXT in Boston, were traded by Fox Television Stations to Cox Media Group in 2014 in exchange for acquiring Cox's San Francisco duopoly of Fox affiliate KTVU (which has been the network's largest affiliate for several years) and independent station KICU-TV.

The current logo is a horizontal variant of the 2006 logo.
