V Sport 1 was launched as Viasat Sport in 1999 as a pan-Nordic sports channel, This logo however was short lived.

After few months of broadcast Viasat Sport got a new updated logo.

In January 2000, Viasat rebranded all their owned tv channels to have a similar look and appearance, to make the brand stronger and more whole. All their channel got a circle around and added the word "VIASAT" at the bottom. However this look for Viasat Sport only lasted for 3 months.

In 2004 Viasat launched 3 new sports channels; Viasat Sport 1, Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat Sport 3

Viasat SportN[]

Viasat SportN

Viasat SportN was launched on 29 November 2005 as a cooperation between Viasat (MTG) and NRK Sport Division as a replacement to pan-Nordic Viasat Sport 1 channel. The "N" stands for Norway.

In August 2008 Viasat launched a HD version of Viasat SportN, Viasat SportN HD during the Beljing Summer Olympic Games in 2008. After the closing ceremony of the games Viasat SportN HD was closed down.

In 2008 Viasat SportN got a new logo and identity same with the rest of the Viasat Sport brand in Scandinavia, as well changed the spelling of the name with a separated “N” away from the word “Sport”.

Viasat Sport N was closed down on 15 September 2009 and was replaced by Viasat Fotball (Norway), and Viasat Hockey launched on the same day as well.

Viasat Fotball Norway was launched on 15 September 2009 to replace Viasat Sport N. Viasat Fotball Norway was replaced with Viasport 1 in 2017.

In 2017, Viasat rebranded the Norwegian version of Viasat Fotball to Viasport 1.

V Sport 1 (Norway)[]

V Sport 1 (2020)

On 1 June 2020, Viasport 1 along the Viasport brand was rebranded to V Sport. This was done after Viasat and Canal Digital (Satellite) merged into Allente. This was decided because they wanted to create their own brand and identity away from Canal Digital and Viasat.
