A new logo to represent the Ukraine internationally was revealed in a ceremony on November 4, 2010 with Vice Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov. The new logo was designed by Saatchi & Saatchi. It is intended to show a smiling sun flower seed with the name of the country written underneath.
It comes in three versions, with the name written in either Ukrainian, Russian or English. Ukrainian and Russian use almost the same alphabet, so only one letter differs. Interestingly, the English version has borrowed the trema over the i from the Ukrainian version.
