TV Cultura is the largest public television network in Brazil and Latin America based in São Paulo. It is managed by the Fundação Padre Anchieta (Father Anchieta Foundation), a nonprofit organization dedicated to educational programming, run by the state government of São Paulo and broadcasts across the country via satellite.

Before the channel was launched, the channel position was used by C2 Cultura. It was originally managed by the Diários Associados, which also managed TV Tupi (Channel 4) at the time. Because of this, in the first logo appears the "indian woman" of TV Tupi.

Then in 1969, the Diários Associados passed control of the station to the current Fundação Padre Anchieta and was relaunched as TV2 Cultura. The logo was radically changed, with the symbol being the one in use until today.

In 1992, the logo went a big change: the symbol is now formed by tiny squares or cubes, the "Cultura" text uses another, more futuristic typeface and the iconic theme song debuted.
