TV3 Norway was launched on 31 December 1987 as a single channel in Scandinavia and it were originally called Scansat TV3.

Scansat TV3 (Swedish-Norwegian feed)[]
1990–1994[]
In 1990, Scansat TV3 was separated into two channels: Scansat TV3 Denmark, as well as Scansat TV3 Sweden and Norway to localize its content as viewers in Danish had difficulties to understand Swedish/Norwegian language, and vice versa.
Viasat TV3 Norway[]
1994–1995[]
In 1994, Scansat TV3 was renamed Viasat TV3 and separated into three channels: Viasat TV3 Denmark, Viasat TV3 Sweden, and Viasat TV3 Norway. This was the end of the Scandinavian SCANSAT cooperation channel.
