Until 1993, Swisscom and Swiss Post formed one company called PTT.
This legendary PTT-Logo using the Swiss cross was designed by Martin Altenburger and famous Swiss typographer Adrian Frutiger.
1993-1997This logo (using the typeface Frutiger) was introduced when the old PTT was split into two separate companies: Telecom PTT (to become Swisscom) and Swiss Post. The design was only to be an intermediary solution until the rebrand to Swisscom.
In 1997, Telecom PTT finally became Swisscom and got a new logo. The company colours were changed from yellow/red to blue/red to achieve a greater distinction between the postal service and the new Swisscom.
In 2008 this new identity created by Dalton Maag was introduced.
