Speedvision
1996–2002
Speedvision was launched on New Year's Day, January 1, 1996. Its launch identity was created by Novocom.
Speed Channel
2002–2005
On February 4, 2002, Speedvision became Speed Channel and relaunched after its purchase by News Corporation.
Speed
2005–2011
In late 2005, SPEED Channel re-branded themselves as SPEED, cancelling some TV shows including NASCAR Nation. Sometime in 2007, the change became official, as the word "channel" was dropped from its logo.
2011–2012
2012–present
On March 5, 2013, News Corporation announced that Speed would rebrand as a general sports network titled Fox Sports 1 on August 17, 2013.
