Sony Sports Ten 1 is an Indian sports channel owned by Sony Pictures Sports Networks, which acquired it and the other Ten Sports-branded channels from Zee in 2017. It focuses on combat sports, especially WWE.

The channel was launched in 2002 as Ten Sports. It was acquired by Zee in 2006, which renamed it to Ten 1 in 2016. Zee eventually sold the Ten Sports network to Sony Pictures Networks India in March 2017.

TEN Sports

An Emirati company named Taj Television launched Ten Sports on 1 April 2002, making it one of the first sports channels in India after Star Sports, ESPN and the government-owned DD Sports, which were launched in the 1990s.

Zee bought 50% of Taj Television in 2006[1][2] to complement its Zee Sports channel (later Ten Action, now Sony Ten 2); this stake was greatly increased in 2010.[3]
