Sky Sports 2 (first era)
Sky Sports 2 was launched in 1994 (by GRFX/Novocom). The original identity consisted of a square with the word "too" in it, and then changing to "2" to coincide with Sky Sports 2's launch.
In 1995, GRFX/Novocom rebranded Sky's channels, including Sky Sports 2. In 1997, the GRFX/Novocom tombstone look would then be replaced with the "egg" look across all of Sky's channels.
In 1997, the "egg" look was launched across all of Sky's channels, including Sky Sports 2, but due to the announcement of Sky Digital, Sky would then retire the "egg" look from all of Sky's channels, and have all of Sky's channels get separated into individual looks on October 1, 1998.
With the launch of Sky Digital on 1st October 1998, Sky Sports got a new look.
In 2002, Sky Sports 2 again got a new look, keeping the 1998-2007 colour scheme, but adding a new font.
In 2007, the colour scheme was inverted from red and blue to blue and red in order to coincide with a new graphical look from Sky Sports 2.
Sky Sports 2 was launched with a new look and new graphics in 2010 and the logo features a 3D appearance.
