In 1993, all Sky channels adopted a new look, created by GRFX/Novocom.
1995–1997
Yet another company-wide look from Novocom was adopted in 1995.
1997–1998
1998–2001
In 1998, Sky News began using a logo incorporating the 'channel' version of the Sky logo. The 'two box' design continues to be used and has now been adopted across all Sky channels.
2001–2002
On 1 October 2001, Sky News introduced a new look.
2002–2005
In 2002, Sky News logo is presented in 3D.
2005–2007
A new look for Sky News was introduced on 24 October 2005. The new look was produced in-house.
- "In freshening its look Sky News has introduced new on screen graphics. The logo has changed to a more modern, cleaner version. And while the distinctive and frequently imitated ‘lower-third strap’ will remain, it has been developed by the channel’s in-house team to offer greater flexibility. The overall look is an evolution, rather than a revolution, and enhances all of the channel’s most successful mechanics." - Sky press release[1]
2007
In 2007, a new look for Sky News was reintroduced followed by new graphics.
2008–2010
In 2008, Sky News changed its direction from up and down to horizontal direction and a new look is still introduced.
HD Simulcast
2010–present
As part of a company-wide image refresh, a new logo was gradually phased in during April and May 2010. It first appeared for the Sky News Election Debate on April 22. It was launched in full on May 6, 2010.
