In June 1983, the emblem logo was introduced. It featured the Samtaegeuk pattern with centripetal and centrifugal forces and was designed by Yang Sung-Chun.

Later during 1983, the mascot was introduced as Hodori, a Amur tiger with a ribbon hat. Hodori was popular with Korean people and appeared in commercials and on toys, Hodori also had a sister named Honsuni. The mascot was designed by Kim Hyun.
