Robinsons-May was formed in 1993, following the merger of Robinson's and May Company. In August 2005, May Department Stores merged into Macy's, Inc. (formerly Federated Department Stores, Inc.), and on September 9, 2006, Robinsons-May was re-branded as Macy's.
