Rich's was a department store retail chain, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, that operated in the southern U.S. from 1867 until March 6, 2005 when the nameplate was eliminated and replaced by Macy's. In 1997 the chain merged with Lazarus and Goldsmith's but retained its name, becoming the so called RLG division.
2003-2005
In 2003 Federated merged Rich's into its Macy's chain and the combined entity was known as "Rich's-Macy's" until 2005 when it was converted to Macy's all together.
