Secondo Programma/Rete2TV
1961–1977
Rai 2 launched in 1961 as Secondo Programma.
Rete 2/TV2
1977–1983
Just like Rete/TV1, it uses an colorized version of the precedent logo.
Rai Due
1983–1988
Rete 2 changed its name to Rai Due in 1983. It launched a new logo corresponding with Rai's rebranding in the same year, which uses red and orange as its colors. In the bumpers, the logo was accompanied with a orange-red cube.
1988–2000
In this logo, the Rai Due typeface was modified (as with the Rai corporate logo at that time) and the cube officially became part of the logo.
2000–2010
This logo, which drops the cube and orange color and uses Rai's newly launched butterfly symbol, was introduced in 2000 and used untill May 2010. Like Rai Uno's logo, it was all white during the TV shows from 2000 to September 21, 2003, the date when they changed with the introduction of a red halo around.
Rai 2
2010–2016
This logo was introduced on May 18 when Rai Due changed its name to Rai 2 (but is still called Rai Due in a way since due is Italian for two/2). Just like how Rai Uno changed name to Rai 1. The logo is parallel to the logos of Rai 1, 3, 4, and 5, albeit with the number 2 and in its signature red color. Alongside with Rai 1, 3, Gulp, Extra. The bumpers are the same as the 2003's Butterfly one. The new bumpers were launched on November of the same year.
2016–present
On September 12, 2016, Rai 2, along with Rai 1, Rai 3, and Rai 4, redesigned its logo and launched a new graphics package. The new design of Rai 2's logo maintains Rai's corporate logo, drops the second square at the right and gives an entirely new look for the number 2. The channel's iconic red color was maintained, albeit in a different shade.
