RTLup is a German TV channel targeted largely at women over the age of 45, much like Sat.1 Gold from the competing ProSiebenSat.1 Media network. It was originally launched as RTLplus on 4 June 2016. It was renamed to RTLup in September 2021, in a similar way as VOXup and to not be confused with the TVNow changing to RTL+.

RTLplus introduced a new logo and graphics package in November 2019 that retained the FF Clan font used since 2016. It was part of a set of rebrands in late 2019 that also included Super RTL, RTL Zwei and the newly-launched VOXup.

As part of a corporate rebrand of RTL Deutschland, the TV Now streaming service will be renamed to RTL+ in the second half of 2021. The RTLplus channel adopted a new name, RTLup, on 15 September 2021, the same day as the rebranding of the parent channel RTL.
