Launched:  April 1, 1969

In May 1967, it was reported that Sandgren & Murtha had signed on with the Royal Crown Cola Co. as consultants for visual communications. Shortly afterward, extensive market testing culminated in the design of this monogram wordmark, arguably the most recognized logo in the brand’s history. It was revived in summer 2018 in the United States along with their 1975-1984 "Me and my RC" slogan, but disappeared toward the end of the season. In 2019 the logo was again reintroduced, but unlike the year before it has since remained on packaging in the US; the 2009 logo now only rarely being seen on items like drink cups and glass bottles.
