Procter & Gamble Star Moon 1991

In 1991, Procter & Gamble first using the blue P&G wordmark in Univers font (along with the last moon-and-stars logo) on the advertisements in an attempt to quell rumors of the logo having Satanic undertones; with some rumors expanding the claim to suggest P&G was linked to the Church of Satan (rumors that would continue to surface on occasion long after the moon-and-stars logo was retired). They changed the P&G wordmark twice, in 1995 and in 2003. After an updated P&G wordmark with current font introduced in 2003, the moon logo was phased out, however, in 2013, the circle returns, but blue circle with P&G wordmark inside.
