Radiostation Pomeranian Polish Radio in Torun for the first time said on December 15, 1934 power of 24 kW as a counterweight to a stronger station from Lidzbark Warminski (Heilsberg Prussian), which gave the power of 60 kW. 15 January 1935 saw the launch of the latest transmitter Torun in Poland starting continuous operation of the opening of the Artus Court. During the war, the Germans converted broadcast station on Reichsender Danzig-Westpreusen. After finishing the war the Germans withdrew from Torun they blew up the radio station on the air.

In 1st July of 1990, the name "Radio Bydgoszcz" has changed to "Pomorska Rozgłośnia Radiowa" (Pomeranian Radio Broadcaster).
