On June 28, 2023, Overstock.com won a bid to acquire the Bed Bath & Beyond name and intellectual property in a bankruptcy auction. The following day, they announced plans to rebrand itself under the Bed Bath & Beyond brand name with a relaunched website in the United States and Canada in 2023, following the closure of all physical Bed Bath & Beyond locations. Overstock.com expressed no interest in opening retail outlets, and said that they would stay online-only.
On August 1, 2023, Overstock would be rebranded under the Bed Bath & Beyond name. The corporate company would rename itself Beyond on November 6 of the same year.
2024–present[]
On March 28, 2024, Beyond relaunched the Overstock brand name, intending to place the brand in a higher market segment from Bed Bath & Beyond by targeting larger purchases and higher-income consumers.
