In 2020, Microsoft updated the Movies & TV app icon to comply with the "Fluent Design" of the rest of the Windows application logos. This logo was originally designed for Windows 10X, but was only used for a short period of time on Windows 10.

In order for the logo of this application to become even more fluent in the new Microsoft design, they updated it again on June 22, 2020. This logo was also originally designed for Windows 10X, but was only used on Windows 10 and 11.

Movies & TV app later superseded by the new Media Player, and it will co-exist with Movies & TV and Windows Media Player Legacy.
