M3D

M3D logo 2012

M3D was launched on June 25, 2012, but its first logo was short-lived because it was only used for a short use for three months. On August 13, 2012, M3D was shut down and cut into a testcard which remained for 14 months until December 2013 when M3D was replaced by M3.

M3-0

In December 2013, a test pattern began broadcasting on a new channel reading "New Channel Coming Soon". MTVA acknowledged the broadcast and director of programming Medveczky Balázs formally announced on December 20, 2013 that MTVA was launching a new channel and more details would be released soon. During the ad-break, MTVA announced that channel would be named M3 and would be launched on December 20, 2013. The "New Channel" test pattern was then replaced with a continuous promo loop for M3. M3 began broadcasting at 6pm on December 20, 2013, as M3D is renamed into M3.
