On May 6, 2010, Benpres Holdings Corporation changed its name to Lopez Holdings Corporation to better reflect the company as a unit of the Lopez Group. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved the name change on June 23, 2010. Its PSE stock trading symbol, however, was changed from Benpres Holdings Corporation (BPC) to Lopez Holdings Corporation (LPZ) on July 5, 2010 as announced in a circular (No. 4426-2010) dated June 25, 2010 which effectively and officially phased out the Benpres Holdings Corporation name.

Despite the phaseout of the Benpres Holdings Corporation name in July 2010, the Benpres name continued to be used until the demolition of Benpres Building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City in 2019.
