Deprecate instead of marking templates for deletion

It sounds like a weird idea to mark templates for deletion. If it was already being used on different pages, there would've been confusion to the reader as he/she won't know if it's the page or the template being marked for deletion. Instead, why not deprecate a template to indicate that it either won't work, is spam, or if it doesn't positively affect LP? Example on a spam template: all content is replaced with "This template has been deprecated because it is known to contain spam content" Example on a template that has nothing to do with LP: "This template has been deprecated as it has nothing to do with Logopedia" Example on a template that won't work with LP: "This template has been deprecated as the template won't work with Logopedia" MindsEyeTHPS (talk) 16:53, September 1, 2016 (UTC)
