Logopedia:Recent logos
Talk0this wiki
On its main page, Logopedia maintains a column which tracks new logos from all over the world.
The main page currently includes recent logos from the current month, and the two months that preceed it. Older entries are archived in the Archive page.
Adding a logo to the newsticker is easy. Click the [edit] link next to the relevant month and copy the following template.
{{newsitem
|image=
|text=
}}
In the text field you write a short descriptive text. The text should be very brief, and the relevant article should be linked and in bold.
In the image field you put the filename of the image you want to include. Don't include the "File:" prefix! The preset image width is 100 pixels, and should never exceed this. If the logo has greater height that width, there is an option to alter its size with the "width=" option.
An example:
| This box... | ...is produced by this code. | ||||

|
{{newsitem
|image=Logocorp logo.svg
|text=January 1: The
international conglomerate
'''[[Logocorp]]''' has revealed
a new logo.
|width=46px
}}
| ||||
The date should be the date that the logo change was announced. It should not be the date you added the note and it should not be the date when the logo change is implemented, except if any of these happen to coincide with the announcement date.
The logos should be listed by announcement dates. Remember this if you add a logo days, weeks or a month after it was revealed.
Occasionally, you need to purge the frontpage to make your changes appear. You do this by clicking on this link.
