In 1979, RTbis was rebranded as Télé 2.
In 1988, RTBF Télé 2 was renamed Télé 21.On March 1994, Arte 21 and Sports 21 had merged back together and reverted to their old name, Télé 21.

In 1993, Télé 21 split into two channels, Arte 21, a Belgian version of French cultural channel of the same name, and Sports 21, which took over Télé 21's frequency.
In 1995, Tele 21 was renamed to RTBF 21.
There's also a variant for sports programming into Eurosport brand.
On 1 March 1997, RTBF 21 was rebranded to RTBF La Deux.
In 2003, RTBF La Deux was renamed simply to La Deux.
