Kompas TV launched on September 9, 2011. Three days after launched, they changed their name temporarily to only "Kompas" due to statement of Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI in Bahasa) considering controversy of their existence as a content provider rather than television network. In October 2012, they change their name back to Kompas TV.
The logo itself was still being on-air until January 28, 2016 and remaining as corporate logo until October 19, 2017
January 28, 2016 -October 19, 2017
On January 28, 2016, Kompas TV was relaunched as a news channel. To coincide their rebrand, the logo had a slightly change. Its especially seen on "KompasTV" wordmark which is thinner than former logo.
October 19, 2017-present
On October 19, 2017, for the first time since 6 years aired, KompasTV overhauled its logo by pulled out the stylized multicolored K symbol, as well as change of the "TV" font and former original "Kompas" wordmark reverted. The new look unveiled in special edition of talkshow program "Rosi" alongside with the launch of new slogan "Independen | Terpercaya" (Independent | Reliable)
