1958–1962
This is the final SS Kresge Logo. Although the company opened the first Kmart store in 1962, the company name remained the same. In 1962 SS Kresge announced that the company will rename itself as Kmart Corporation.

In 1962, The S.S. Kresge Company opened its first Kmart stores.(https://searsholdings.com/about/kmart/kmart-history). The last of the SS Kresge stores were sold off in 1990.
1990–2004
This logo was introduced September 1990. It is still seen at many older Kmart stores.
2002–2004
This logo is only used at five prototype locations. Four in the Peoria, IL area (Peoria, Pekin, Morton and (now closed) Washington) as well as White Lake, MI. The name of the city would be displayed alongside or under this logo. The colors where changed as well using grey and lime colors.
2004–present
In 2004, Kmart acquired Sears to become Sears Holding Corporation and created a new logo, and all the Big and Super Kmart stores were rebranded as simply 'Kmart'
