This logo was first introduced with the launch of the current, syndicated iteration of the long-running game show Jeopardy!. 1998–2007[]

King World Productions
Designer:  Pittard Sullivan

Launched:  1998

In 1999, coinciding with the Viacom-CBS merger that year, the broadcast network bought King World, a move which was first announced on March 28. By then, King World had become the syndicator of CBS series of the time, as well as those of Group W Productions, though classic shows were syndicated by Paramount Domestic Television (later CBS Paramount Television), which took over Eyemark Entertainment's place.

On September 26, 2006, it was announced that King World and CBS Paramount would be merged into a new syndication arm. Despite that, the King World name would continue to live on for another year, even gaining a new on-screen logo during that time, though by then its shows were now officially being distributed under the then-newly formed CBS Television Distribution (now CBS Media Ventures).

The King World name was finally discontinued when its on-screen logo had adopted CTD's identity by September 27, 2007. Today, King World lives on as an in-name-only unit of CBS Media Ventures, by the name of KWP Studios, which holds the copyright to select shows like Rachael Ray.
