German immigrant Godfrey Keebler opened a bakery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1853.
1890–1920[]
Keebler partnered with Augustus Weyl in 1890. The bakery was incorporated as Keebler-Weyl Baking Co.
1920−1938[]
Keebler-Weyl networked with several other local bakeries and others around the country over the years, and in 1927 they merged into the United Biscuit Company of America. United Biscuit operated regional bakeries which included Keebler and several other companies.

In 1963, United Biscuit introduced the Kitchen Rich brand nationally while still utilizing regional brand names such as Keebler.

In 1966, United Biscuit decided to adopt a uniform brand name and chose Keebler as the national brand and the name of the company.

2006–2020[]
Ferrero bought Keebler in 2019 from Kellogg's. The brand is now distributed by the Ferrara Candy Company.
2020–present[]
In 2020, one year after Ferrero acquisition, the Keebler brand, as well as the main mascot Ernie the Keebler Elf, received a new look.
