Kanal 4 Denmark dates its history back to 1984 when it was originally launched as Kanal 2 Danmark.
TV Danmark (first era)
On 7 April 1997, Kanal 2 Danmark was closed down and were replaced by a new channel that is relaunched as TvDanmark. Its relaunch identity was created by Novocom in Los Angeles.
TV Danmark 2
On 1 January 2000, TvDanmark started up a satellite channel known as TvDanmark 1. At the same time, the original network was renamed to TvDanmark 2.
The idents which was used at the time, they were remarkably similar to the ones used by Kanal 5 Sweden at the time.
TV Danmark (second era)
On 4 April 2004, TvDanmark 1 became rebranded as Kanal 5 Denmark, and TvDanmark 2 reverted back to its original name of TvDanmark. This was the last logo to mark the TvDanmark franchise.
On 1 May 2006, TvDanmark was confined to history and were relaunched as Kanal 4 Denmark, a channel aimed at women.
On 1 June 2009, to coincide with all the channels of the Danish SBS Discovery family changing their format to 16:9, Kanal 4 Denmark introduced a new logo which was slightly and that it became gradient by tuning up its purple colour, so that it could be much more different.
On 24 January 2012, Kanal 4 Denmark adopted a new on-screen look featuring the 2009 logo that is being used on-air, as well as a new set of idents and on-air promos were adopted by the channel, and that the new look is created by Marengdeluxe.
