The "Lite Rock" branding did not last long as the station returned to the KVIL callsign.

KVIL once again returned to its callsign and has evolved into an Adult Top-40 leaning fare.

On October 5, 2016 KVIL moved from AC to CHR/Top 40 format.
January 18–November 17, 2017
On January 18, 2017, at 7 a.m., after playing "Heathens" by Twenty One Pilots, KVIL re-branded again, this time as "AMP 103.7", adopting the moniker from sister CBS stations KAMP-FM in Los Angeles, WODS in Boston, WQMP in Orlando, and WBMP in New York City. With the rebranding came a shift in the station's playlist, as the station has completely evolved towards a mainstream Top 40 direction, along with the addition of more rhythmic titles. The first song on AMP was "Closer" by The Chainsmokers.
2017–present
on November 17, 2017, Entercom's took over the ownership of the station after merging with CBS Radio, KVIL was flipped from top 40 to Alternative Rock as "Alt 103.7" billing itself as "DFW's New Alternative", ending a run of over a year and a month of KVIL as a CHR/Top 40 format, in which it adopted the Amp moniker after 10 months of the moniker, this brings the Alternative Rock format back to the Dallas-Fort Worth market a year to the day KDGE 102.1 The Edge flipped to Star 102.1.
