In 1995, KTXA became an affiliate of newly-launched UPN and branded itself as "UPN 21".
In 2002, UPN introduced a new logo and KTXA accordingly received an updated logo
In 2006, UPN and rival The WB, which in The Dallas-Fort Worth area was on KDAF, merged to form The CW. As a result of KDAF gaining the CW affiliation, and Fox-owned independent KDFI affiliating with MyNetworkTV, KTXA went independent. The new name for KTXA is "TXA 21".
