Standalone version of the CBS Eye variant (c. 1972-76)

The station became a subsidiary of Viacom in 1983. In 1995, Viacom traded KSLA to Ellis Communications, in return for WVEU in Atlanta due to its purchase of Paramount Pictures affecting its station businesses.
Although it was replaced by the original version of its current logo in 1997, the 1972 "12" logo remained in use as an identifier for KSLA within CBS programming advertisements in the Shreveport–Texarkana and Arkansas editions of TV Guide until the magazine discontinued its regional and provider-specific editions in 2005.
