KMIR discontinued its cable-centric "6" branding in December 2013, following the completion of Journal Communications' sale of the station to OTA Broadcasting.
2018–2023 (primary), 2023-present (secondary)[]
This logo is based on the design originally used by KNTV in San Jose. On July 21, 2017, Spanish-language broadcaster Entravision Communications (minority owned by Univision Communications) announced to acquire KMIR and KPSE-LD for $21 million. The sale was completed on November 1, making both stations sister to KEVC-CD and KVER-CD. Starting in December 2023, this logo is no longer used on the screenbug during newscasts because of the next logo introduced in the same month, it will continued to use on the newscast graphics.
This logo was the first to use the 2023 NBC logo introduced in December 2022, means it is the first station to use that logo. Used only as a screenbug during newscasts since December 2023.
