1958–1966[]

KIRO1960s

KIRO-TV originally signed on the air on February 8, 1958 as a CBS affiliate on VHF channel 7 and was first owned-and-operated by Queen City Broadcasting, only for its stock to be purchased by Salt Lake City-based The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in April 1963, which its broadcasting division later became Bonneville International in 1964.

1966–1985[]

1985–February 1993[]

KIRO 7 (1988)

Initially, the '7' in this logo was thinner, but would later have the stroke thickened slightly by 1986.

February–September 1993[]

KIRO Triangle 7

This logo was short lived, having being used only from February to September 1993.

September 1993–1998[]

KIRO 7 1993

During the period this logo was used, KIRO-TV began affiliating with UPN on a secondary basis when the network launched on January 16, 1995 (before Bonneville sold the station to A. H. Belo on the 31st). Two months later, channel 7 lost its CBS affiliation to KSTW (channel 11), in a group affiliation deal that included Fort Worth–Dallas sister station KTVT. This led to KIRO-TV being a sole UPN affiliate for two years; only to regain the CBS affiliation on June 30, 1997, when KSTW switched to UPN after the Paramount Stations Group traded KIRO-TV to current owner Cox Enterprises on June 2.

The "7" in this logo was derived from the short-lived 1993 logo above.
