KEPR-TV first signed on December 28, 1954 as a satellite of KIMA-TV, and it was originally owned by the Cascade Broadcasting Company.

Filmways agreed to purchase Cascade Broadcasting for $3 million in 1968, and the sale was approved the following year, only for them to sell channel 29 and its satellite stations to NWG Broadcasting for $1 million in 1972.

1978–1989[]

Levisstadium

Retlaw Enterprises acquired the NWG stations for $17 million in 1986; the stations were operated as part of the Retlaw Broadcasting division.

Fisher Communications (after purchasing the Retlaw stations in 1999) rebranded all of their stations with this universal logo design in 2000. Sister stations at the time included KOMO-TV, KATU, KIMA-TV, KBOI-TV, KIDK, KLEW-TV, and KVAL-TV.
