Template:Missing former logo KMTR signed on in 1948, on channel 13 in Los Angeles. Owned by Chris-Craft Industries, KMTR was the first television station broadcasting on channel 13.
KLAC-TV
1948–1954
KMTR became KLAC-TV and its slogan is Lucky Channel 13. There are different designs to the logo, but these weren't the official logo used for KLAC-TV.
KCOP
1954–1956
KLAC-TV became KCOP, on channel 13. The logo shows the 1 with a badge and a police officer over the logo (only a hand and a police officer's head) and a 3 next to the 1 with the words ''KCOP'' and "LOS ANGELES". This logo is still used on welcome mats until 1981.
