2008-2009is the brand name for a line of ultra-low-voltage IA-32 and x86-64 CPUs (or microprocessors) from Intel, originally designed in 45 nm CMOS with subsequent models, codenamed Cedar, using a 32 nm process. Atom is mainly used in netbooks,nettops, embedded applications ranging from health care to advanced robotics. This was the first logo to come out. Its codenames were Silverthorne and Diamondville.
Intel updated all the other Intel processor logos in 2009 in which to run Nehalem. Intel's Atom processor logo was gray and had blue on the top left. Intel's processors now run off of sandy bridge. However, the logo was never changed during the sandy bridge switch.
With the launch of the Intel Atom system-on-chip (codenamed "Clover Trail"), Intel launched a new logo for the Atom brand.
