The Independent Film Channel
The first logo of The Independent Film Channel was created by Brian Dieck of newly formed The Diecks Group.
This logo first appeared in 2000 on the very first release from IFC Films, Spring Forward, but it was not adopted as the official logo until 2001.
In March 2010, IFC slightly refocused itself from a channel focusing on independent films to include more comedy programming. This included a new logo and the tagline "Always on. Slightly off." The new look was created by Feel Good Anyway of Portland, Oregon.
In 2014, Independent Film Channel's name was legally changed to IFC, which is the current on-screen name.
