Homy stores were closed in January 2021, pending to being replaced by the IKEA brand, although the Homy brand will remain alone in its products, as announced by Falabella. This change was expected in late 2020 or early 2021, as part of a licensing agreement between Falabella S.A. (through Sodimac) and the Swedish furniture retailer signed in 2018. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the name change was postponed to March 2022.[2]
