TVQuality was launched by argentinian TV producers Programas Santa Clara, S.A. in 1992 as the first documentary network in cable TV in that country. In April 4, 1994 a programming network brand was launched under the name Educable, focused in educational documentaries for children.
The History Channel
In July 2000, Programas Santa Clara sell both TVQuality and Educable to Ole Communications / A&E Networks Latin America and the network was relaunched as The History Channel in October 2000. Educable's programming segment was retained in the new channel until 2003.
