The city of Hamburg pulled out of their bid to host the 2024 Summer Olympics in November 2015 due to the unpopularity of the bid amongst citizens. However, local design firm Mutabor produced a bid logo that would have been implemented should the bid have continued. They decided to release it in early January 2016 as a case study.
The logo represents the Olympic Rings reflected in a circular pond of water represented by the blue ripples. This corresponds with the bid motto "Reflecting the spirit of the Games".
