Geoffrey's Toy Box was launched in early October 2018 when Toys "R" Us cancelled their plan to auction off their intellectual property. Their first locations opened in November 2018 at Kroger stores throughout the US. However the Geoffrey’s Toy Box brand was used on some Geoffrey branded items in Macy's stores.
