Fox Family Channel

1998 (pre-launch)

Following the sale of the channel to Fox Kids Worldwide, it was announced that the channel would be renamed as Fox Family Channel in 1998. This logo (based on the previous logo design, which had been used since 1988) was only seen on promos for the channel.

1998–2000

Fox Family Channel was launched in August 1998. It does look like the 1999 identity for Canal J but the 1998 identity for the channel was created by Pittard Sullivan.

Fox Family

2000–2001

Fox Family Channel was renamed as Fox Family in 2000, and introduced a new on-air look.[2] The new look was created by 3 Ring Circus.

ABC Family

2001–2003

ABC Family originally used a modified version of Fox Family's previous logo, with the ABC circle logo replacing the sideways Fox logo.

2003–2016

In 2003, the logo was revised with the 2D ABC circle logo and the word family only being displayed. The word family was also changed from Univers to Helvetica.

Freeform

2016–present

On October 6, 2015, ABC Family and Disney announced that it would be rebranding to Freeform beginning January 2016 to target younger viewers. The rebrand marked the first time in 27 years that the word family won't be in the name of the channel. In late-December 2015, it was confirmed that Freeform would take over on January 12, 2016.

WFDF was originally in the Flint radio market before moving to Farmington Hills in the Detroit radio market in 2006. As a result of the station's move to Detroit, WFRO in the Toledo market as well as another station in Northern Michigan (also on 900) were taken off the air to allow WFDF to increase its broadcast power.
Disney/ABC never owned the station, but operated it under a Local Marketing Agreement. Birach Broadcasting has since taken complete, outright control of the station.
These stations are either silent or completely off the air at this time.
WGVX also simulcasts on 105.3 and 105.7.
