On December 1, 1995, WPTY became an ABC affiliate, swapping affiliations with WHBQ-TV; On October 4, 1999, the station also added a secondary affiliation with The WB, carrying that network's programming from 11pm to 1am on nights when the network offered programming. Prior to WPTY adding a secondary affiliation with The WB, Memphis residents got The WB from the national superstation feed of WGN-TV as well as a special feed created by Time Warner Communications, TV Memphis. WLMT would pick up WB Programming in the Fall of 2003.
