Super 99 is a panamanian supermarket chain established in 1986 by then-president Ricardo Martinelli, who was at the time the owner of Empresas Martinelli S.A.. Prior to its acquisition, it originally started as a small store identified as Almacén 99 established by the Wong Chang family in 1961 in the Colon province, which mainly focused on hardware and silk trades.
