Radio Caracas Televisión (also known as RCTV) was a Venezuelan television network and was one of the oldest in the country until 2007 when it was shut down.

RCTV was launched as Radio Caracas Television on November 15, 1953.

The lion holding a shield was added in 1970. This variant was used as on-screen bug until 1979.

This is a recreated version of the classic 1953 logo. In 1989, the lion was returned, this is used as a secondary variation until 1994.

In 1996, the tricolor logo for yellow, blue and red with a grey fill gradient was introduced.
1997–1998[]
In 1997, as part of a refresh, the 1996 logo was tweaked. Before the 1998 update, this logo was used after the 1996-1997 logo.
1998–2000[]
The gray gradient was discontinued in 1998 leaving the only symbol just like the previous logos.
2001–2005[]
In January 2001, as part of a refresh, the 1996 logo was slightly tweaked. This logo was used as a secondary variation until 2005.
2005–2010[]
By 2005, the 1996 logo was returned. RCTV ceased operations on May 28, 2007 as an over-the-air network when Venezuela's leftist Hugo Chávez regime, which the privately-owned network opposed, forced its shutdown and seized its equipment and infrastructure for the use of state-run network TVes. RCTV has since continued as a cable/satellite network under the name RCTV Internacional until 2010.
2020–2021 (online)[]
In July 2020, the brand returned as a online OTT service but the logo was used before for the company's website beginning in 2016. However, the service was shut down a year later as RCTV preferred to license its content to other Spanish-language streaming services.
