Qatar Airways is the government-owned flag carrier of the State of Qatar, and also its only passenger airline. It is the second-largest airline in the Middle East, after Emirates.note Its logo is an oryx, a species of antelope that is the national animal of the country.
The airline joined the oneworld airline alliance in 2013, thereby being the second Middle Eastern member of the alliance, after Royal Jordanian.
It is also currently a sponsor for Singaporean news channel CNA's weather forecast.

The current version of Qatar Airways’ oryx logo was unveiled in 2006 ahead of the Asian Games held that year in Doha, the Qatari capital. In 2010, the oryx on Qatar Airways' planes was made smaller, which would now fit on the tails of the planes.
