NRK2 is the secondary TV channel of Norwegian public broadcaster NRK. It was launched in 1996 as NRK To (NRK Two), and renamed to NRK2 in 2000.
NRK2 has a focus on programming that is more serious than the generalist, entertainment-oriented NRK1. It has traditionally concentrated on more cultural and in-depth programmes than NRK1.

2000–2007
In 2000, NRK1 and NRK2 got updated logos featuring the new corporate logo, introduced in 1999, that was a slight modification of its predecessor from 1970. The numeral 1 or 2 was appended to it.
When NRK3 was launched in 2007, it got a similar logo.
2007–2011
The logo colour was changed from orange to lime-green.
2011–present
NRK1, NRK2 and NRK3 received new logos on 11 October 2011, with the numbers being put in a circle. The NRK wordmark now appears in gray.
